| CTA hail appointment of Director colleges | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr, 17: The college teacher association (CTA) of the region have hailed the decision of the government in filling up the post of director colleges in a meeting chaired by CTA president Dr. Sanjay Verma here today.
As per press release members of the CTA have also appreciated the role of the minister of higher education. Abdul Gani Malik in streamling the higher education and also adjustment of principals of various colleges which were lying vacant since long. Members also appealed to the minister to consider the demands of the college teachers such as redesignation of teachers posts as per the SRO-284 and to reconsider the eligibility criteria for the post of principal as per the UGC norms and appealed to the minister to create the posts of professor in colleges which will enhance the academic atmosphere in the colleges and also to release arrears in favour of college teachers. Association also met special secretary education Parvez Malik. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sudanshu Sharma, Dr. Satinder Kour, Dr. Sunil Gupta and others.
