| Kranti Dal demands installation of Bhagat Singh's statue | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr, 17: Demanding installation of martyr Bhagat Singh's Statute at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk near Jewel Cinema in Jammu, Kranti Dal today staged a protest against the state government here. Shouting slogans against the state government, Samarjeet Singh, youth president Kranti Dal, along with city president Himanshu Bali said that that the Government should fulfill this long pending demand of public and dedicate the roundabout to the martyr who laid down his life for the sake of the people and their country.
The leaders further said that the only Chowk is named after him, but the condition of the area was very shabby. "Heaps of garbage is lying everywhere and no proper name plate has been placed in the name of Bhagat Singh," the leader said. He said that the Government must install a statue with a small area reserved for park around the statues. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Anjum Binu Sharma, Sohan Singh Chib, Rajinder Singh Chib, and Bal Krishan Kohli besides others.
