NCC Cadets promote tourism

JAMMU, Apr 17: NCC Cadets actively participated in the tourism related events held at Suchetgarh, Akhnoor and Jammu on 13, 14 and 15 April, 2010. During the Boarder Tourism Festival at Suchetgarh 80 NCC Cadets holding playcards for water conservation protection of heritage sites etc participated. They also helped the organizers in coordination traffic control during the Mela. Similarly NCC staff and cadets participated in the Baisakhi Mela at Akhnoor on 14 April and Tourism Road show near Bahu Fort on 15 April 2010.
Enrolment of fresh NCC cadets in the schools has started with the commencement of new academic session, NCC activities in Schools and colleges have also commenced. Col Malook Singh, Group Commander, NCC Group Jammu alongwith other NCC Officers recently visited Chennai, Batote, Ramban, Ramkot, Basholi and other areas in Jammu region to promote NCC activities. After the achievements of NCC Cadets during the last Republic Day NCC camp at Delhi and various rifle shooting competitions there is a huge demand for starting NCC in many institutions.
