| Govt. concerned of militants not of SPOs: Milchar Front | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 18: An emergency meeting of Jammu & Kashmir Milchar Front was convened to discuss the yesterday's unwanted police action against the SPOs of tehsil Gandoh of district Doda demanding a hike in their wages. One member of the front disclosed some telephonic information procured from Gandoh confirms that it was a public meeting of the MLA concerned at Gandoh, where SPOs lauded some protest for not advocating their pay hike issue in the recent assembly session and further said that militants are being treated as a privilege class everywhere including the assembly where both central & state governments are worried for all kinds of favor & welfare to the militants without caring the unlimited tough assignment being served by them for a 24 hours tough duty. It was further disclosed that state administration including the higher police authorities issued orders for the arrest of the protesting SPOs followed by other instructions to send them in JIC. Members were surprised over the childish action of the authorities particularly in the presence of a secular minded and pro people MLA, Mohd. Sharief Niaz who can not support such actions at all against his voters crying for a genuine favor. KK Rao, general Secretary of the Front appealed all political parties to condemn the action of the state government for applying different parameters at all levels and to make possible the early relief to the SPOs. Rao further said that it is the J&K state where no action has been taken against the President of Bar Association Kashmir who openly said before the Court that "I am not an Indian" and on the other hand SPOs were just anguished before their loving MLA. He further appealed to the Chief Minister for a fair approach towards the aggrieved SPOs in order to address their genuine demands.
