| Jammu and Kashmir Premier League T20 Tourney | | Data Sher Singh Club enters semis of Group-C | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 18: A little known Data Sher Singh Club today sailed into the semi-finals of group-C in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Premier League (JKPL) Twenty20 Cricket Tournament being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at different venues, here. In the second round match, played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, the Data Sher Singh Club trounced Friends Cricket Club (FCC), Ghat Doda by 34 runs to move into the third round of semi-finals. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Data Sher Singh Club set a target of 130 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, which, in reply, FCC could not chase the total and bowled out for 95 runs in 18.1 overs. Jaswant Singh was top scorer with 37 runs off mere 16 balls including four sixes and a boundary. Amit Salaria and Satish Saini added valuable 31 and 13 runs respectively. From FCC, Yasir clinched four wickets while Amir bagged three. Later, chasing the target, FCC lost all their wickets for 95 runs in 18.1 overs. Imran made 23 runs while Shahbad contributed 30. For Data Sher Singh, Amarpreet clinched three wickets while Sushant took two. Jaswant Singh was declared man of the match.
