EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 18: Representatives of various socio-religious and other organizations in a meeting held at Brahman Sabha, Parade, under the chairmanship of President Chamber of commerce. YV Sharma here today for constituting an organization to identify and address the grieviencs of people of Jammu province. As per press release the main issues projected by the participants included the central university and appointment of vice chancellor from Jammu region expeditiously to save the precious year of the students. Ban on inter-district appointment which has badly affected the rights of S.Ts., ex-servicemen and residents of RBA and LOC. Separate public service commission entrance examination, board of school education and tourism for Jammu province were demanded. Among the speakers who spoke were Prof. Virendra Gupta, Rajesh Thappa of Bar association, Dev Raj Baru, Rajinder Motial, Ch. Zulfikar, Ashok Gupta, MS Katoch, Paviter Singh Bhardwaj, AG Kohli, Milkhi Ram Ji, Prof. Satish Anand, Capt. Anil Gaur, Ch. Misri Khan, Bhupinder Singh Slathia, Pradeep Sharma. The members in the meeting approved the name of the organization as Jammu province peoples forum (JPPF) and constituted an adhoc committee to prepare draft constitution of the committee to be discussed in the next meeting. The members are Paviter Singh Bhardwaj, AG Kohli, Sunil Sethi, Ved Prakash Sharma, Narayan Singh, Milkhi Ram Bhagat, Satish Anand, Dev Raj Baru, YV Sharma and Parshotam Chander Sharma as convenor.
