| PWA deputation calls on commissioner JMC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 19: A deputation of People's welfare association (PWA) led by S. Kulwant Singh Bhatti called on commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation(JMC), Mubarakh Singh and apprised him about the worst conditions of lanes and drains of ward No. 45 and 58 of Digiana. As per press release Bhatti said, that nearly 4000 scheduled caste and other backward class people live in these wards but have no basic facilities. He said streets are very congested and people do not have sewerage, toilet and street light facilities etc. The civic condition especially in the mohallas of Ghumarian, Ravidasis Bhagtan and Gurudwara Saheed Baba Deep Singh lane behind Rachna Wine shop opposite industrial estate Digiana and main Nallah of the area whose dirty water is constantly fall in the canal, desiliting of main nalla in the bazaar should also be considered in priority basis. Singh also demanded of at least two water cooler near the martyr's gate and opposite police post Digiana respectively so far corporation has not installed even a single water cooler in ward No. 45 and appeal to the commissioner to pay a personal visit or deploy some senior officer to take stock of civic condition of these Mohalla's.
