| Mohammadan Sporting, Glamorous, NCC win ties | | JKPL T20 Cricket Tournament | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 19: Mohammadan Sporting, Glamorous Cricket Club (GCC) and National Cricket Club (NCC) won their respective matches to move into the next round of different groups in the ongoing JKPL Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at various venues, here today. In a match played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here, NCC trounced Manwal Cricket Club (MCC) by a big margin of 69 runs. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, NCC set a target of 164 runs for the loss of three wickets, which, in reply, MCC could not chase and bowled out for 95 runs in 19.2 overs. Manish Dogra was top scorer with 69 (off 49 balls, 1x6, 7x3) runs while Rohit Bhat contributed 38-ball 62 runs studded with seven hits to the fence and Sagar added 18. From MCC, Deepak took two wickets. Batting second, MCC could not chase the total and lost all their wickets in 19.2 overs for 95 runs. Neeraj and Rahil were main scorers with 22 runs each. Amit Balloria bowled match winning spell taking away five wickets for just 15 runs in four overs. Inderjeet Singh and Pranav Mahajan shared two wickets each. For his match wining performance, Amit was adjudged man of the match. GCC wins by 44 runs In another match, played at MA Stadium, here, Glamorous Cricket Club (GCC) registered a 44 runs win over United Blues Bathindi. Earlier, GCC made 140 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Mannu Sharma played brilliant innings of 61-ball 81 runs including ten boundaries while Waseem Ahmed and Ankit contributed 18 and 13 runs respectively. Wasim and Yasir took two wickets each from United Blues, followed by Tajmul and Nadeep, who shared apiece each. In reply, United Blues could not chase the target and bundled out for just 96 runs in 20 overs. Wasim was top scorer with 27 runs, followed by Tajmul and Nadeep, who contributed 16 and 15 runs respectively. From GCC, Rupinder bowled deadly spell taking away six wickets while Deepak bagged two. For his six-wicket haul, Rupinder was declared man of the match. Narrow 6-run win for Mohammadan Sporting Mohammadan Sporting Club (MSC) defeated New Millenium National Cricket Club (NMNCC) by six runs to move into the next round today. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, MSC scored 130 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Habib was main contributor with 36-ball 49 runs, followed by Azhar and Samiullah, who added 22 and 20 runs respectively. Parvez and Shahid bagged two wickets each from NMNCC. Batting second, NMNCC failed to achieve and exhausted their quota of 20 overs for 124 runs losing nine wickets. Parvez made highest 32 runs, followed by Amit and Ravi with 29 and 16 runs in their respective accounts. Samiullah took two wickets while Sanju and Habib shared apiece each. For his all-round performance, Habib was declared man of the match.
