| Fire Safety Week: Students visit Fire Station | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr19: The tiny tots of Sprawling Buds School, Laxmipuram in Chinore here were today taken to Fire Station on Fire Safety Week, being observed from April 14 to April 20. Fire men dressed in uniforms gave live demonstration of a fire extinguishing mission. The young students were informed about the measures to be adopted to prevent fire accidents. Visiting students were also imparted knowledge about the first aid given to burnt person in case of a fire incident. "They were also shown the vehicle of Fire Brigade and were made to sit inside it," Principal of the School, Puja Sharma informed. "The motto behind today's visit was to give practical knowledge to students as seeing something happening before eyes leaves a lasting impression, especially among the young children. It was to bring students closer to an activity which we often talk about in our day to day life," maintained the Principal. Later, Sub-Officer Incharge of Fire and Emergency Station Roop Nagar, Tej Krishan Raina briefed the students about preventive measures which should be adopted against fire accidents. He also appreciated the school authorities for making effort to take students for educational outings to such places.
