EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 19: The Kashmir wing of the state vigilance organisation (SVO) has produced challan against an employee of BDO office, Larkipora Shahabad, in the court of special judge anti-corruption, Srinagar. The case was registered against Habibullah, a junior assistant in the BDO's office, in 2009 on a written complaint against him by Bashir Ahmad Dar of Larkipora Shahbad. In the complaint, he had alleged that he along with five other helpers, posted in the BDO office, were given promotion with effect from November 1, 2008. Dar said he then approached Habibullah, who was also incharge Establishment in BDO Office, Larkipora Shahbad, for preparation of arrears bill. He alleged that the accused refused to prepare the bill till he paid him Rs 1,800 (Rs 300 per head) as bribe for preparation of the bills. Dar then approached SVO, which laid a trap and arrested Habibullah red handed while demanding and accepting bribe.
