JE, RDD granted five days police remand

Jammu, Apr 20: Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Duni Chand Sagotra after hearing Senior Prosecuting officer Parshant Mahajan appearing for VOJ granted five days police remand to Saleem Malik Junior Engineer Rural Development Dept Block Surankot Buffgaz District Poonch who was caught red-handed by a team of VOJ.
JE was produced in the Court in custody by Vigilance Orgznaition with application seeking remand for custodial investigation of the case which was granted by the Court for five days with the direction to produce the accused after completion of five days.
VOJ on the complaint of one Mohammad Rashid contractor who had worked for the Rural Development and a bill of Rs 78800/- was made out, the complainant conducted JE for said, JE demanded Rs 10,000 as commission, on this complainant filed a complaint with the VOJ that complainant is poor man and JE demanded Rs 10,000 for release of said bill. Acting upon the complaint VOJ laid trap and caught red-handed the JE and register a case u/s 5(2) PC Act 2006 r/w section 161 RPC. --JNF
