EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 20: The crime branch (CB) of the state police has booked two persons for their alleged act of fraudulently preparing registration papers of a land at RS Pura which belonged to a farmer.
Sources said farmer Gyan Chand of Phinder, RS Pura, lodged a complaint with CB, alleging that Kuldeep Kumar and Joginder Pal, both residents of ward No 8, RS Pura, had, in connivance with some revenue officials, prepared fake registration papers of his land in their name.
He said he was the real allottee of the land and Nirmal Singh of Simbal Morh was its attorney holder.
After holding a probe into the matter, the CB lodged FIR against the two accused under sections 420, 461 and 471 of RPC.
Sources said as the involvement of some revenue officials had also figured in the incident, a team under the supervision of CB SSP JP Singh was likely to be despatched to RS Pura in a day or two to scrutinise the revenue record.
When contacted, tehslidar Iqbal said that he had no knowledge of the incident as he was posted at RS Pura in the recent past.
