| Challan produced against CAPD official | | | JAMMU: The Kashmir wing of the state vigilance organisation (SVO) today produced challan against incharge tehsil officer, Shopian, of consumer affairs and public distribution (CAPD) department in an alleged corruption case.
The challan was produced in the court of special judge anti-corruption, Srinagar.
According to SVO sources, Mohammad Mansoor Malik was incharge tehsil officer, Zainapora circle of Shopian, when he had allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe from CAPD fair price shop holder Sabzar Ahmad Dar for issuing reports in respect of various applications that had been endorsed to him by CAPD assistant director.
Acting on the complaint, SVO trapped Malik while allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe from Dar. The challan was produced against him in the court after a sanction was accorded by the government.
