| Air Force Wrestling Championship honoured | | | EARLY TIMES REPROTER
JAMMU | JULY 24
Air Force Station Jammu continues to produce Air Warriors excelling in sports. After winning Air Force Football Championship, it was the turn of another Air Warriors from Air Force Station Jammu to lead the Western Air Command Team to win the wrestling Championship of the force, which was held at Allahabad from 26 Jun 06 to 30 Jun 06.
Junior warrant Officer RK Malik won the Gold Medal in 66 Kg category, Greco roman Style in this Championship. A total of 08 teams inclusive of 7 Commandos and Air Headquarter participated in this event. The efforts of Junior warrant Officer RK Malik was instrumental in western Air Command winning the overall Air Force Championship Trophy.
Station Commander, Air Force Station Jammu, Group Captain JS Kler VM expressed his warm gratitude and congratulated the Air Warrior. In recognition of his achievements, Station Commander honoured the Junior Warrant Officer RK Malik by presenting him a glittering trophy.
