| Book on 'E-Commerce' released | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 21: A book release function was held in connection with the launching of the book titled 'E-Commerce: Issues, Perspectives and Challenges in the Indian Context' edited by Prof Versha Mehta, Dr Alka Sharma and Komal Nagar, faculty members of The Business School, University of Jammu. The book has been published by Knowledge World publishers, New Delhi. Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu, Prof Varun Sahni was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the efforts of the editors in bringing together diverse contributions on various issues related to E-commerce and in bringing out a compilation of different perspectives on this vital theme. He emphasised that such contributions in the form of books add to the valuable resource of any academic discipline and should be encouraged. He further congratulated The Business School for such academic initiatives and for creating synergy cutting across various disciplines. All the contributors received a copy each from the Vice-Chancellor. Prof RD Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs presided over the function. In his address, he reflected on the need for such contributions that would go a long way in developing a culture of research among academicians. Prof Ashok Aima, Dean Faculty of Management gave his special remarks saying that this book will be an asset for the students as well as practitioners. Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Director, The Business School applauded the efforts put in by the authors in highlighting the emerging dynamic business scenario in the context of e-commerce. Prof Versha Mehta, while welcoming the dignitaries and participants on the occasion, gave an overview about the book. The function was attended by various academicians, officials of the university, contributors of the papers, and scholars of the Faculty of Management.
