| India fake democracy! J&K fake secular state ? | | | CHAMAN KAUL

JAMMU, Apr 21: Soon after eminent writer Arundati Roy in an exclusive interview with some television channel declared India as fake democracy; Prof. Bhim Singh Chairman Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party lost no time to declare J&K as fake secular state. Roy substantiates her 'verdict' by saying that poor people who could not even know their nationality are subjected to military attack by Indian rulers of the day.
Nevertheless people who did not have access to their adjacent village how did they manage attacks like Dantewada is worth giving a thought. Either the poor people living in jungles are being used as shield by some powerful agencies with a hidden agenda or something is lying fishy underneath as proposals of Home Minister for military attack on Maoists was turned down by Prime Minister, why?
"Even word secular is not mentioned in preamble of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir" Prof Singh said adding that his party's senior legislator Harsh Dev Singh tried to brig amendment bill in this regard in the state assembly but nobody knows where it has gone. "Only providing a passport does not identify me as Indian" said Prof. Singh and added that unless Parliament of India have right to establish rule of law in state, accession between centre-state is fake. He emphasized that Article 370 is root cause of confrontation. Besides what does it mean that entire country have 5 years plan and state have 6 years, why? Prof Singh asked while seeking proof of secularism in J&K state.
Prof. Singh does not even hesitate in saying that NC-Congress is establishers of terror reigns to earn lucrative income without investment, besides, keeping power under their control. He asked whenever their arises a need of job for Kashmiri political leaders they rise with an issue called "Kashmir issue", in fact, it is nothing more than a job seeking formula. Prof Singh said right from Sheikh, Farooq and now Omar, every person is employed , so there is no Kashmir issue for now. "If there is any issue that is LoC, which should be solved once for all in the larger interest of India and Pakistan" suggested Prof Singh.
Going by the assertions of experienced journo and politician a few questions arise in everybody's mind which include that is government of day in centre and state are unconcerned, incompatible and unworthy. One wonders if that is so,Ihow come people of Indian state mandated Congress in country for more than fifty five years and National Conference in state of J&K for more than thirty five years? These are the questions which the people would like to ask themselves surely in near future.
Prof. Singh though desisted to subscribe that terrorism across the country is brain child of Congress but conformingly said that state has been ruined by Congress and NC by introducing terror cult to garner their vested interest.
He said unless and until Congress and NC are rooted out there is no hope for peace to prevail in the state. What will happen to country and state is question of serious concern for which citizens should start thinking otherwise it would be too late to do any thing.
