| Deputations meet Minister | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 21: A deputation of labourers headed by Labour Union leaders of Kathua district, met Minister for Higher Education, Labour & Employment, Abdul Gani Malik at Kathua last evening.
The labour union leaders presented number of demands before the Minister for Labour, Abdul Gani Malik who gave a patient hearing and assured their all problems would be looked into and redressed in a phased manner. He assured the union leaders and labourers present on the occasion that adequate funds are available with the Government for implementing employment schemes in the district. The concerned officers and officials would be made accountable for timely implementation of all employment schemes and all the problems being faced by the labourers would be solved on priority, he further added.
He, however, asked the union leaders and labourers to cooperate in this behalf so that effective steps would be taken for result oriented employment schemes.
