| SRS resents Hurriyat's statement against Army chief | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 21: Shri Ram Sena, Jammu Kashmir have expressed resentment against Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Moulvi Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik, who have recently criticised the Army Chief General VK Singh for opposing revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). In a meeting, held here today, the executive members of Sena, under the chairmanship of their President of Sena Rajiv Mahajan warned Mirwaiz, not to give such type of statements for the sake of his personal gains. Rajiv Mahajan said that Hurriyat leadership should refrain from provoking the peace loving people of Jammu and Kashmir, who always desire peaceful atmosphere in the state. He said the majority of the people of Jammu and Kashmir are giving full support to Army deployed in the state adding that it is only due to the deployment of Indian Army, Border Security Force and Central Reserve Police Force, that the situation in Kashmir is improving. Rajiv Mahajan said there is no Kashmir issue at all, but some of the separatist groups in the Kashmir made it as an issue for the sake of their personal gains, otherwise majority of the people of in valley believe in maintaining brotherhood, socialism and peace.
