| Counseling-cum-awareness programme about SKEWPY held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: One day awareness-cum-counseling programme for educated unemployed youth of district Udhampur about Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWPY) was conducted by Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute in collaboration with District Employment and Counseling Centre Udhampur here today. The youth in the age group of 18 to 37, having the minimum qualification of 10+2 were made aware of the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth. As many as 9 eligible and interested candidates were registered for the Seed Capital Fund Scheme out of the total 25 participants who attended the programme. Seed Capital Fund Scheme enables the educated youth of the state to start their own venture by availing a non refundable seed capital equivalent to 35 percent of the project cost, maximum to Rs 10 lakh subject to the fulfillment of the terms and conditions of the scheme. Vishal Ray, Assistant Faculty Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute coordinated the programme and briefed the participants about the different components of Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth, viz Seed Capital Fund Scheme, Voluntary Service Allowance & Scheme through Women Development Corporation. On the occasion, RL Raina, Deputy Director Employment Udhampur, also delivered the lecture on J&K State Self Employment Scheme. Similar programme is scheduled to be conducted for District Reasi on April 22.
