JAMMU, Apr 21: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today inaugurated a Tube Well at Gandhi Nagar near Lakshmi Narayan Mandir constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.50 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Tube-Well will benefit 21,300 souls of Gandhi Nagar and some parts of Shastri Nagar, Nai Basti and Rampura. The Minister said, in addition to the Tube Well, various other development works have also been completed in Gandhi Nagar constituency with the expenditure of Rs. 191.57 crore.
The Minister while highlighting the achievements registered on account of development works in Gandhinagar constituency said that 22 Tube-Wells located at Sainik Colony Sector-C, Sainik Colony Sector-G, Sanjay Nagar, Adarsh Enclave, Gangyal, Deep Nagar, Apna Vihar, Kunjwani, Balmiki Nagar, Trikuta Nagar Sector-5, Nanak Nagar Sector-8, K. C. Colony, Jamwal Residency, Babliana, Digiana, Nakria, Channi Himmat, Narwal Proc. Division, Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Sainik Colony Sector D, Delli, Greater Kailash.
In addition, 21 numbers of Over Head Tanks at PHE Complex Shastri Nagar, Tube Well No. 9, Gandhi Nagar, PHE Complex Channi Himmat, Tube Well No. 1, Gandhi Nagar, PHE Complex Rail Head, PHE Complex Trikuta Nagar, C/C Block Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar Sector 7, Park opposite R&B Guest House, Gandhi Nagar, Langer, Sainik Colony Sector D, Sainik Colony Sector D, Thangar, Sainik Colony Sector A, Old Bandhu Rakh, Sainik Colony Sector F, Ajeet Nagar, Dashmesh Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Babliana, Apna Vihar, construction of GLSR's at Channi Himmat, Boria Pumping Station, PHE Complex Narwal, Tube Well No. 1, Gandhi Nagar, Dodhi Gujjar, Sainik Colony Sector F/G, Nawabad near B. N. College, PHE Procurement Division and Qasim Nagar (Bahu Top), Construction of Public Toilets at Sainik Colony, Sanjay Nagar, Gangyal, Transport Nagar, Channi Himmat, Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar and Scouts and Guides, Gandhi Nagar, Construction of Intake Structure at Boria, Construction of Drainage, laying of Rising Mains and laying of Distribution Network have also been constructed.
