| Gul for viable mechanism to decongest Jammu traffic | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 21: The Coalition Government has succeeded in transforming its decisions into realty by ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of a massive development programme launched in almost every part of the State, especially rural and hilly pockets. This was stated by Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul, while talking to media. Gul said that developing Jammu and Kashmir to new highs of peace, progress and prosperity is the primary aim of the Government and the coalition partners are vigorously working on this vital agenda. He said that the Government has initiated a number of reformative measures to extend a total transparent and accountable dispensation to the people. "After six years, our Governance will speak for itself and we will leave imprints" he maintained. Saying that Jammu is the busiest city in whole of Asia after Tokyo, Gul expressed concern over drastic traffic congestion in J&K and emphasized the need to work out an innovative and technologically viable mechanism to ensure decongestion of traffic on all routes. He also informed that to deal with this grave problem, the Government is planning to expand a network of flyovers besides repairing the existing roads and bridges. Referring to various steps taken up to boost tourism industry in the State, Gul said that the Government is developing an artificial lake in Tawi, a Golf Course in Sidhra alongwith a multiple Rose Garden, besides offering a number of lucrative incentives to the domestic as well as foreign tourists.
