PK's dialogue over socio-political issues affecting minority held

Jammu, Apr 22: 'Panun Kashmir Youth Wing' organized an Inter-community dialogue on current socio-political scenario today at Jammu.
Programme was attended by cross section of society. Dialogue was meant to deliberate upon the recent burning issues of socio-political nature affecting the minority people of state. The issues mainly revolved around the recent assaults on the rights and liberties of the nationalist people. The panelists included Dr. Jitender Singh, senior columnist, Sunil Sethi, President, Bar Association Jammu, Veena Handa, educationist and O.P.Sharma, Commandant (Retd) BSF. Programme was presided over by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir. Virender Raina, National Spokesperson presented the inaugural address in which he dwelt upon the backdrop of the programme.
The panelists on the occasion said that the nationalist minorities of the state have been subjected to a constant barrage of assaults and provocations on their rights and liberties. The intensity of these attacks has acquired serious dimensions since the elected representatives of the state from the valley are bringing anti-minorities legislations in the Assembly. This has caused anguish among the women and the society in general. The united will and efforts of the nationalist forces living in the state have averted a number of crises over a period of time. The panelists were unanimous in their view that the strengthening of the position of the minorities in the state would go a long way in bolstering the Indian cause in this restive state.
Panun Kashmir Youth Wing expressed its resolve to continue the process of enlisting the views of representatives of the people on all important issues and make attempts to bring people of imminence together to forge common issues of concern. People from various areas in the Jammu region need to be brought together to make the fight on issues a common concern. The Youth activists will make attempts to garner support of youth of all communities and will even contact youth activist from other cities of the country in this direction.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Shakti Kumar, Secretary, 'Panun Kashmir Youth Wing' in a very impressive manner. Sangeeta Gupta, a senior activist of Jammu was felicitated on the occasion by the Panun Kashmir Youth Wing in recognition of her contribution to the society and particularly for her role in the Amarnath agitation. O.P.Sharma presented the concluding speech and the vote of thanks on the occasion.
