| Traffic system in winter capital going from bad to worse: JWAM | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 22: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) in a meeting chaired by its president Sunil Dimple have decide to launch an agitation against the administration for not taking any action against the traffic system which has gone from bad to worse. Addressing the meeting, Dimple said the present government have no plans to streamline traffic system in the winter capital. He said, his recent meeting with ERA direction bear no fruit. He said even MLA's of ruling party or opposition have failed to raise this issue during assembly session. He said the worst traffic problem is witnessed at BC Road, Jewel Chowk, Rehari Chungi, Amphala, New Plots, Janipur etc. This portion have become death prone area, off and on two or three accident occur on these roads and the government remain as a mute spectator. He said no major project has been taken into hands as far as Jammu province is concerned, and added government is only making hallow promises. He said Jammu city needs number of fly-overs then only traffic problems will be solved. He even demanded to introduce 'Mono' and 'Metro rail' system for winter capital. He urged upon the chief minister Omar Abdullah to direct the concern authorities to construct alternative four way road from Amphalla Mandi to J&K High Court complex at Janipur which will ease traffic on main road.
