| Sunrise Brigade organizes two days medical camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SAMBA, APR 22: In yet another gesture of the Indian Army's resolve to reach out to the locals of the J&K, the 20th Battalion Jammu and Kashmir Rifles under the supervision of Sunrise Brigade organised two days medical camp at Habtal Camp, Dist Samba on 21-22 Apr 2010 under the aegis of Tiger Division. The success of the camp could be judged by the overwhelming response of the locals. It was milestone in the spectacular journey of "OP SADBHAVNA" into hearts of residents of villages. Camp was inaugurated on 21 Apr 2010 by Commander of Sunrise Brigade. A team of doctors from the Army and civil doctors rendered free medical aid. The services offered by the camp included Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Gynecological, ENT, Dental treatment and "Eye Check Up". Other facilities like X-Ray, laboratory, ECG and free medicines were also provided. Health education for young girls and women was imparted by a lady Medical Officer. Organization of such camps are a part of the Army's drive to reach out to the civilian population in remote areas and the response generated reflected the close bonding between the civilian population and the Army.
