Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 22: The working committee of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has taken a serious view on the J&K government for its un-warranted intervention in the functioning of J&K contributory provident fund (CPF) organization, in its executive meeting chaired by Vijay Chandel. The meeting was told that the state government is compel this autonomous body to keep many in J&K bank only which he said is against the set principals of financial norms. The members in the meeting took serious note on the dictatorial order of government for with holding the interest on the subscribers money laying with the organization after three years of leaving the service which is against the interest of workers and giving loss to the poor workers where as on the other hand PF Organization continuously getting interest on the subscribers money laying with the banks. BMC demands that there should be no restriction on parking of PF money in any nationalized bank and also withdrawal of the order which restrict the interest on subscriber money. This order of the government is anti labour.
It is also demanded that all the investment made by PF Organization with the Nationalized bank must be kept up to the period specified and if any attempt is made for early withdrawal from the nationalized banks the loss on this account will have to be bear by the official responsible and BMS will not hesitate to approach to higher court for justice in the interest of the workers. The J&K state PF organization should have to follow the investment pattern of central PF organization and other guidelines which are for better as compare to J&K PF organization.
The J&K state PF organization is collecting huge amount from employers for employees deposit linked insurance but the compensation to the subscribers in case of death is very meager which needs immediate revision BMS also demand interest for the years 2007, 08, 09 must be declare immediately as it is delaying annual decision of subscribers.
