| Court frames corruption charges against Patwari | | | early times report
Jammu, Apr 22: Special Judge Anticorruption J R Kotwal framed corruption charges against then Patwari Padem Dev Sharma of Halqa Chinore who was caught red-handed by the VOJ on July 28, 2009 while accepting and demanding bribe of Rs 2500 from the complainant for issuing Fard of land.
While framing corruption charges against accused Patwari who was present in the Court, on perusal of record of the case, Court find sufficient reason to presume that the accused has committed offences punishable u/s 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) PC Act 2006 and 161 RPC and hold that there is prima-facie case against him and framed charges. ---JNF
