| One killed, 14 hurt in road mishaps | | | early times report
JAMMU, Apr 22: One person was killed and 14 others were injured in different road accidents here since last night.
Darshan Lal was coming home at Janipura on his motorcycle (JK02AA/ 9288) last night when an unknown truck hit him at Muthi, resulting in serious injuries to him.
Some locals evacuated him to the GMC Hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead.
Post-mortem was conducted on his body this morning. Later, it was handed over to his family members for last rites. Police had registered a case in this connection.
In another incident, Vijay Pandita and his wife were injured when their WagonR (JK02W/0103) skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Amar Chashma at Batote. Both of them were hospitalised. Twelve persons sustained minor wounds in other road mishaps on the city roads today. All of them were treated at the GMC Hospital.
