| NPSU hold meet, demand recruitment on provincial basis | | |

Jammu, Apr 23: The executive members of National Panthers students union (NPSU) have urged upon the Jammu youths be watchful against the hostile attitude of the rulers of J&K state towards Dogras of Jammu, who have contributed a lot to strengthen the unity of the state. Members in the meeting demanded recruitment be made on the provincial basis so that there is no discrimination in government and police recruitments.
The executive urged the prime minister to appoint Dogra vice chancellor of Jammu central university so that 12 million Dogras feel dignified, respectful and equal partner in the democratic system in Jammu and Kashmir. The NPSU appealed to all the student organizations in the state, particularly in Jammu province to join the movement which stands to uphold the dignity of the great Dogras who have written the history of Jammu and Kashmir since centuries.
The NPSU also urges the prime minister to ensure that Maharaja Gulab Singh chair in Jammu university is allowed to function and continue with honour and dignity beside to fill all vacancies in the departments of government in Jammu on the district, provincial and state level without any discrimination or bias. The prominent members of the Executive who participated in the meeting included Varun Dev Singh, Satwinder Singh, Bhumahesh, Waheed Ahmed, Ashwani Sharma, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Sapna Atri and Anil Kumar Gupta.
