| Book reading help creates a sound society: Peerzada | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Apr 23: In connection with World Book Day a function was organized at State Board of School Education headquarter here today presided over by the Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Syed while Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir was the guest of honour on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Peerzada Mohammad Syeed said that the importance of the books could not be ignored in any period as these have guided the people as well as the nations adding that by book reading help create a sound nation which also provides opportunity to get fresh and important revelations with regard to culture, history, language etc. He appealed all the concerned to contribute to enrich our libraries by donating valuable books pertaining to science, culture history etc. The Minister for Agriculture G H Mir described the books as the best friends of the educated class and said it serves as food of knowledge to the book readers. He impressed upon the teachers to imbibe book reading interest among the students besides fixed syllabi. He said, the students should also understand the importance of libraries and the books and avail benefit of these facilities.
