Jammu: Hurriyat chairman, Mirwaiz Moulana Umer Frooq was placed under house arrest Friday morning. However, defying restrictions, JKLF chairman and his associates took out a procession in protest against award of death penalty to three Kashmiris. The procession was intercepted near clock tower. Yasin and his colleagues were taken into custody.
Malik said death sentence had no scope in a democratic dispensation. He urged the government of India to reconsider the conviction. "I am going on a one day hunger strike on April 28.
