| Two infiltration attempts foiled on IB | | | Early Times Report JAMMU: Two infiltration attempts by the Pak-based militants were foiled on the International Border (IB) by the alert BSF troops in Kathua and Samba sectors in the wee hours of Friday morning. Police sources said a BSF patrol observed suspicious movement on the IB close to the Chak Faqira border outpost (BoP) in Hiranagar sub-sector of Kathua early in the morning. The patrol party fired 20 to 25 rounds in the direction of the suspicious movement, but there was no response from the other side. In another incident, troops opened fire after they picked up movement near Manyari BoP along the IB in Samba. Sources said massive search operations had been launched by BSF in Hiranagar and Samba areas. This is the fourth such incident along the border line in Jammu, Kathua, and Samba districts in last five days.
