Amendment in Inter-District Recruitment Bill historical:Harsh

JAMMU, Apr 24: Working Chairman Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and MLA Harsh Dev Singh was accorded a rousing reception at Mansar by SC and ST wing of the party for the historical amendment-moved by him in the Inter-District Recruitment Bill assuring and safeguarding the rights and interests of the deprived classes in appointments.
On the occasion, a rally was also organized to celebrate the decision as the victory of people of Jammu in general and the deprived sections of the society in particular.
Addressing the gathering, Harsh Dev Singh described the acceptance of the proposal mooted by him and the passage of the amendment in the Inter-District Recruitment Bill as monumental spectacular and historical.
He said the Bill passes in amended for in conformity with the amendments mooted by him would ensure eight percent reservation to SCs in all districts of the state including ten districts of Kashmir valley and two districts of Ladakh.
Singh said this would address another grievance of the Jammu youth who always complained of higher share of Kashmiri youth in selections. He said, on an average at least 2000-3000 Jammu youth belonging to SC would be absorbed every year in Kashmir valley and Ladakh districts as a result of the said amendment.
Elaborating further, JKNPP leader said that non introduction of the said Amendment would have greatly deprived the SC candidates of the opportunities of employment as the Bill moved in the original form had only made a provision for freezing the district level posts within the district with no reservation for SCs outside their original district. He said that the JKNPP had assured share to the SCs not only at the district level but also in the Divisional level posts.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA State President JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal MLA reiterated the resolve of the party to continue their struggle for the cause of Jammu in particular for weaker and deprived sections in particular. They said the JKNPP had stood apart and above others by vociferously and vehemently raising the issues of Jammu people inside the Assembly.
On the occasion around 100 workers of BSP and other parties joined Panthers Party.
Balwant Singh Mankotia said that Panthers Party has always fought for the just cause of Jammu including Delimitation, ban on Pre-paid mobiles,Grant of Dogra certificate to Jammu youth.
