| Corruption charges framed against Girdawar, Patwari | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 24: Special Judge Anticorruption J R Kotwal framed corruption charges against Suram Singh Girdawar and Vijay Kumar Patwari of Tehsil Udhampur who were caught red-handed by VOJ on April 1, 2009 while demanding and accepting bribe from complainant.
According to VOJ case in February, 2009 while accused Suram Singh was posted as Girdawar Halqa Kothdi Tehsil Udhampur demanded Rs 1000/- and accused Vijay Kumar was posted as Patwari demanded Rs 5000 which was settled on Rs 4000 as bribe from complainant for getting correction in the revenue record. Complainant approached VOJ which laid trap and caught red-handed both accused and after completion of investigation presented Challan in Court. Court framed charges against both the accused u/s 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) PC Act 2006 and 161 RPC. ----JNF
