| Anganwadi workers to hold one day convention | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 24: Jammu and Kashmir Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union is going to hold its one day convention on April 28 at Govt Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk Jammu. This was informed by Mohd Gafoor Dar, state president of J&K Anganwadi Workers and Helper Union while interacting with media persons here today. He said that during the one day convention union will decide and debate the demands included implementation of contributory pension scheme for workers and helpers, enhancement of wages of Anganwadi workers and Helpers and regularization of their services, amendment in recruitment rules for promotion of workers and supervisors, clearance of all pending wages of workers, clearance of pending rent of the centres. Dar informed that Minister for Social Welfare Sakina Ittoo has consented to be the chief guest in the convention. Suman Suri, Renu Sharma, Rajesh Kumari, Savita Kakkar, Santosh Kumari, leaders of the J&K Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union, who were also present appealed to the workers and helpers to participate in the convention.
