| Un-employed youth demands early start of Rattle hydro project | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Apr 24: The un-employed youth welfare association of the districts has demanded early starting of work over the Rattle Hydro-electric project for which the survey has already been carried out and the detailed project report (DPR) stands submitted and the global tenders have also been costed and the lowest bidder is M/s GVK power development for which the land has been acquired at village Salana and Joshana and the government has also earmarked Rs. 40 crore to the land owners as compensation of the land. General Secretary of the association, Joginder Bhandari called upon the management of M/s GVK power development and urged them to start the work upon the said project. He said that the work shall be started somewhere in the month of October 2010 subject to the clearance by the state government. The management of M/s GVK power development said that the manpower required for this project shall be adjusted from the district Kishtwar and priority shall be given to the skilled, semi-skilled and un-skilled and the unemployed youths having higher qualification like 10 plus 2 and graduates shall be also provided employment in the project and they shall be adjusted in office works, supervisors (civil), storekeepers (civil), timekeepers, mess supervisors , and those already have worked in HE project shall be given top priority of employment as well as the contractors shall be sublet various civil works.
