| Army constructs Passenger Waiting Shed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 24: As part of the ongoing initiatives, to further the cause of army-civil cooperation under Operation Sadbhavana, Sabre Brigade has constructed a Passenger Waiting Shed at Purmandal Morh. The inauguration ceremony was held today, which was attended by Commander, Sabre Brigade and heads of all villages in the area of responsibility. In the past also the Sabre Brigade has carried out various projects under Operation Sadbhavana to provide better amenities to the local population in the vicinity of the Military Station and near the International Border. Village Purmandal located approximately 36 Kms from Jammu is famous for a group of ancient temples which, for the locals, have as much reverence as Haridwar. At Purmandal Morh, from where the pilgrims catch a local bus to Purmandal from NH- 1A there was no bus shelter and villagers had to stand in the open. The need was also projected during previous Ex-Servicemen rallies conducted by the Sabre Brigade.
