| Army organises Veterinary aid camp at Nakki | | |
Udhampur, Oct 15, More than 1520 animals of village Nakki and surroundings villages were treated in an Army veterinary camp on today. The camp was conducted by 3 Advance Veterinary Hospital under the aegis of Headquarters 71 Sub Area “ OP Sadbhavna” at Govt Primary School Nakki in District Udhampur. Brigadier KK Chopra, VSM, Commander 71 Sub Area inaugurated the camp and interacted with the locals and Ex Servicemen. He threw light on the aims and objectives of organizing such camps. He presented metal benches and desks to the school which was highly appreciated and applauded by the students and locals.

A massive turnout of animals in response to veterinary aid camp was witnessed on the occasion. Huge numbers of animals were treated against various contagious and non contagious diseases like Liver fluke dewormings, vaccinations against infectious diseases and spray against ticks and mites. Fully equipped clinical cum pathology laboratory was setup to examine various laboratory samples and carry out on the spot diagnosis. Expert veterinary team was led by Colonel Navaz Shariff, Commandant 3 Advance Veterinary Hospital and Capt V Kamalraj along with surgical team from Jammu Veterinary College.
Spot field surgery was conducted by veterinary surgeons of the Army and veterinary college Jammu. The camp received an overwhelming response from villagers who expressed their heart felt gratitude to the Army and desired that many such veterinary camps should be organized on a regular basis.
