| Various deputations call on Advisor | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 25: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul, has appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Central Cabinet Committee on giving nod to massive project of Rs 473 crore for the infrastructure development to promote use of renewable energy resources in Ladakh region for generation of power and setting up of Solar Light and thermal power plants. Gul was interacting with various deputations from far flung, remote and backward areas of Doda, Poonch, Ramban and Basoohli who called on him here today. The Advisor said that it is the policy of Omar lead Government that all the three regions of the State should get equally developed with special attention to far flung areas. He said that the present Government has initiated several measures for upliftment of the people of backward and remote regions and due attention is being given to strengthen the basic infrastructure in these areas. Gul emphasized for utilizing the rich recourses of the State for socio economic development of the people and urged the Centre for providing liberal financial assistance to undertake such projects in various parts of the State. The Advisor said that comprehensive developmental and welfare programmes are successfully implemented in every nook and corner of the State, adding that it is the prime objective of the Government to establish social, political and economic justice by making available all basic amenities of life to the people at their door steps. The Advisor gave patient hearing to the deputationists and said that the Government is aware of all the demands and problems of the people which are being mitigated in phased manner.
