KP Sabha organises seminar

JAMMU, Apr 25: A seminar on the contemporary issues of Kashmiri Pandits was organized by KP Sabha Ambphalla here today.
On the occasion, speakers highlighted the issues of the community at length and impressed upon the administration to address these issues urgently and seriously.
The issues raised related to comprehensive implementation of the total PM's package on relief and rehabilitation. It was highlighted that cash relief was only marginally enhanced and it needs to be enhanced considerably. The shrines and temples bill be passed without further delay and living conditions of displaced persons be improved wherever the migrants are living.
The speakers strongly advocated the adoption of a positive and constructive approach towards the problems being faced by the community and the policies that need to be adopted to substantially achieve results on ground.
A large number of people attended the seminar.
In his address, the President KP Sabha, Prof AN Sadhu strongly pleaded for unity among the rank and file of the community.
He also appealed to the community not to be led by propaganda of vested interests and take an objective stand on the issues concerning the community. Kashmir belongs to us and we have inalienable right to return to our homes and hearth.
President stressed that the Census Commissioner of India should make a special provision in census enumeration for the complete census of Kashmiri Panditswhere ever they are living so that their real number is known. The voting procedure for Kashmiri Pandits be simplified to ensure their fuller participation in the electoral process.
