| Aseer Kishtwari's literary works released | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 25: Saying that art and literature form repository of civilizations, Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim Rather has called for in depth study and evaluation of literary works to pass on the valued treasure and glorious heritage to posterity. Speaking at an impressive function, held here, today, to release three literary and poetic compilations of noted writer and poet, Wali Mohammad Aseer Kishtwari, presently Director General, Accounts and Treasuries, the Minister said that the collection of the selected poems and literary works of Aseer is the mirror of society which reflects richness of our cultural treasure. The books were released at a jointly organized book released function by Jammu and Kashmir Urdu Maikash Forum, Kashmiri Literary Society, Rasa Jvadani Literary Society, Jammu and Kashar Markazi Adbi Forum Jammu. Rather said that Kishtwr, Bhadarwah and Banaihal areas have produced reputed literary figures like Rasa Javedani, Kamgar Kishtwari, Bashir Bhaderwahi, Mushtaq Faridi, Prof. Margool Banihali and Manshoor Banihali. He said that Aseer Kishtari is a par excellent writer who has been awarded at the State as well as at the national Level by the various socio-cultural organizations including J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. The Minister lauded the literary contribution of Wali Mohd Aseer Kishtwari whose three publications included Tareekh-i-Ishayat-i-Islam, Pathwan Sada and Farash-i-Gul were released. Rather credited Aseer Kishtwari for his outstanding contribution in the field of art and culture hoping that the works would further enrich literary horizon of the State. The Minister for R&B, G.M. Saroori, also present on the occasion, has said that wise and meaningful thoughts of intellectuals of various spheres of life remain restricted unless brought-out in the shape of books for the benefit of the general masses. The books, which were released, include "Pathwan Sada" collection of poems of Kh. Ghulam Qadir, father of Aseer Kishtwari, Tehreek-i-Ishayat-e-Islam, authored by Aseer Kishtwari and Farash-i-Gul, a collection of the selected Kashmiri poems of Aseer Kishtwari. Farosh-e-Gul has been printed in Devnagri, Nastaleeq and Hindi scripts. Secretary J&K Cultural Academy, Zafer Iqbal Manhas and a galaxy of writers, poets, critics and members from intelligentsia were present on the occasion. Presenting vote of thanks Aseer Kishtwari said that the presence of galaxy of the eminent personalities in the function makes himproud of his contributions. On this occasion, prominent vocalist from Doda Rashid Jahangir presented a few kashmiri and Urdu Ghazals which rejoiced the audiences.
