| Police repulses militant attack in J-K | | |
Jammu, Oct 15 An attack by militants on a police post set up in mountainous area in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir was repulsed by security forces, official sources said.
A group of militants attacked a police post in Kadwa in Basantgarh belt of Udhampur district late last night, they said.
However, alert policemen deployed there fired back and ensuing gunbattle continued for more than two hours, sources said and added that militants managed to escape after the attack.
There was no loss of life or damage to property, they said. |
