| BSF School celebrates Annual Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 26: BSF Sr. Sec. School Paloura , today celebrated its Annual Day at open air theatre BSF campus Paloura Jammu today. JP SYAL DIG/PSO, FRONTIER HEAD QUARTER JAMMU- was the chief guest on this occasion.
The function begun with the traditional lightening of lamp by the Chief Guset followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Principal of the School Sh. S.S.Khokkar presented annual report of the School, Jammu showing all details of the school, its infrastructure, achievements in the field of academics, cultural activities and sports.
This was followed by a colourful cultural programme which included the Dogri Jagran and Gujarati Dandiya presented by the tiny tots of the Primary section. The talented orchestra of the school & the senior students expressing their grievances through the famous song "Give me some sunshine, give me some rain" also won great appreciation. The foot tapping beat of the bhangra could not stop the audience from clapping to the tune & enjoy the taste of Punjab.
The ballet presented by the senior students showing the evils of society and conveying the message of love & brotherhood touched the hearts of all & won special appreciation.
The school calendar containing the details of the whole academic session of the school, including the Co curricular Activities & examination schedule was also released by the Chief Guest.
In his address the Chief Guest was all praise for the school. He acknowledged the efforts of the students & teachers. He also assured every possible help to improve the infrastructure of the school , grant sanction for more classrooms, a spacious auditorium &much more.
Senior most teacher Anusuya Gupta presented the vote of thanks.
The function concluded with light refreshment & a healthy interaction of the Chief Guest with the members of the staff, participants & the student volunteers on duty along with the school captains, deputy school captains & CCA prefects.
