JAMMU, Apr 26: The Greater Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha felicitated Brigadier Anil Gupta, Deputy Director General, National cadet Corps, for his achievements. On the he was presented a shawl by Kundan lal Gupta, President of the Sabha, Brigadier Anil Gupta belongs to a renowned Mahajan family of Ranbir Singh Pura, is a product of Sainik School and National Defence Academy, Brigadier Gupta was commissioned in the Indian Army by the President of India in June 1947, at a time when very few members of the community chose Armed Forces as a career.
He is one of the few Mahajan who rose to such a high rank in the Army Brigadier Gupta thanked all members of Mahajan Birdari fro bestowing this honour on him.
He pledged to continue to serve the society.
