| Adbikunj remembers Dr Lal chand Gupta | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 27: To pay tributes to late Dr. Lal chand Gupta on his 106 birth anniversary, a special literary function and 'Mehfil-e-Mushorira' was organised by the Adbi-Kunj at K.L Saighal hall here today. Prof. Ved Kumari Ghai a noted educationist and was Chief Guest, while Prof. Zahoor -u-din and Prof. mohd. Ayub Khan eminent educationist was guest of honour, while the function was presided over by Anand Lehar. Sham Talih, president Adbi Kunj who conducted the proceedings gave brief introduction describing late Dr. Gupta as a great son of the soil who dedicated his life for the up lift of the poor. Prog Ghai in her address said that Dr.L.C. Gupta always believed in service of humanity and he had made helping the poor the sole mission of his life. Prof. Zahoor and Prof. Ayub while recalling their association with late Dr. Gupta said that he was a multi faceted personality who took deep interest creating social awareness among the masses besides personally taking part in development activities of various shrines. He ran freee eye clinics for the poor and the needy and thousands benefited from such services. Anand Lehar descrined alte. Dr. Gupta as a torch bearer of social reform and service activities in Jammu whose aim and objective remained to help the poor and downtrodden. The function among others was attended by the sons of Dr C.L Gupta and their families. Both sons Dr. kewal Gupta and Dr. Baharat Bushan were Honored on the occasion. A Mahifi-e-Mushora which was organised on the occasion was attended of Zeemat Firdous. Audah Ravi Gamkhar, Raj Bharat, Hanilal Pari, Mohan Lal Komal, Ved Prakesh Gupta, Sampoor Kumar Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Avtar Krishan Gaujroo Bharat, Dr. Bharat Beshan and Sham Tahh receited their latest poems and Ghazab on the occasion.
