| Rehri workers union frames body | | |

JAMMU, Apr 27: The 'Rehri workers union' of Jewel canal road framed a body and elected Vijay Dogra as president of union through elections held yesterday. The body also elected Narinder Bhatia as general secretary and Ravinder Kumar as Cashier, while Om Parkash union's ex-president was elected as chairman.
As per press release election were conducted under the supervision of chief patron of the union Narinder Gupta.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta asked the newly elected officer bearers to work dedicatedly and honestly for the welfare of the "Rehri" workers. He said that these workers are facing tremendous hardships to earn their livelihood. They have to face the warrant of municipal corporation officials, police and others in their day to day business. Therefore, it is the duly of the office bearers of the union to project the rights of their men associated with the "Rehri" business. He also appealed to the "Rehri" workers to sell their goods on reasonable price so that the general public may not suffer.
