JAMMU, Apr 27: University Scholars, Young Star Cricket Club and Rural XI Club won their respective matches to move into the next round of their respective groups in the ongoing Jammu Kashmir Premier League Twenty-20 Tournament underway at different venues, here today.
University Scholars win by 35 wkts: University Scholars XI today registered a 35 runs win over Youth Cricket Club Kishtwar in a match played at GGM Science College hostel ground here. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, University Scholars set a target of 142 runs for eight, which Youth Club could not chase and lost all their wickets for 106 runs in 16.4 overs. For his excellent bowling (4-1-13-3), Manjeet was named man of the match.

Young Star wins by 50 runs: Young Star defeated Lucky Star Cricket Club (LSCC) by 50 runs to consolidate their position. Batting first, Young Star made 170 runs for eight, which, in reply, Lucky Star could not chase and exhausted their quota of 20 overs for 120 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Jagdish Kumar was declared man of the match.

Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Sunderbani Club set a target of 116 runs for the loss of seven wickets, which, in reply, Rural XI chased in 18 overs for the loss of four wickets.
For his match winning innings of unbeaten 36, Jarnail Singh was declared man of the match.
