JAMMU, Apr 27: Give us money. We want to construct roads and bridges in Kashmir. Give us money. We want to open more hospitals and dispensaries in Kashmir. Give us money. We want to conserve and beautify Dal Laka, Wullar Lake and Nagin Lake in order to attract more and more tourists. Give us money. We want to create additional infrastructure at such tourist spots as Gul Marg and Pahalgam. Give us money. We want to link each and every village in Kashmir with good roads. Give us money. We want to open more schools and colleges in Kashmir to cater to the educational needs of the people there.
Give us money. We want to reward the stone-pelting youth in Kashmir. Give us money. We want to implement the healing touch policy and rehabilitate with honour the gun-totting militants. Give us money. We want to resettle in Kashmir the PoK-based Kashmiri militants. Give us money. We want to enhance the strength of the state police.
Give us money. We want to undertake infra-structural developmental activities across Kashmir and create additional employment opportunities there. Give us money. We want to present a new budget. Give us money. We want to construct flyovers in Kashmir. Give us Rs 4,200 crores of Indian rupees. We want to pay arrears to our employees. Give us money. We want to pay wages to the government employees. Give us money. We want to do this with the Indian money. We want to do that with Indian rupees. They need Indian rupees for everything. This is one side the story.
The other side of the story. Withdraw army from Kashmir. We want to provide a breathing space to the people of Kashmir. Withdraw anti-terror laws. We want to ensure zero tolerance for human rights violations of those involved in subversive activities. Withdraw all the Central laws and all the Central institutions. We want to tell the people of Kashmir that they are a race apart. The Central laws and institutions have only eroded the identity of Kashmir and alienated its people. Do away with the offices of Governor and Chief Minister. We want the offices of Sadar-e-Riyasat and Wazir-e-Azam. We want to tell everyone that Jammu and Kashmir is not an integral part of India to the extent other states of the Union are. Withdraw IAS and IPS officers from Kashmir. We want our own civil servants because the IAS and IPS officers are symbols of Indian State. Withdraw from Kashmir everything that represents Indian state. Don't allow any Indian to settle in Kashmir because the settlement of non-Kashmiris in Kashmir would mean a demographic invasion on Kashmir. Allow the people of Kashmir to settle anywhere in India and give them all the rights, including the right to government service and own immovable property.
What is the moral of the story? The moral of the story is that we hate everything Indian, minus the Indian rupees. Why should New Delhi give money to those who oppose India, the Indian Constitution and the Indian institutions? And, why should they demand money from India when they dismiss everything Indian with contempt?
