7 J&K IPS officers empanelled for DIG level posts

NEW DELHI, Apr 27: Seven Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from Jammu and Kashmir cadre have been empanelled to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and equal level posts by the Union Home Ministry.
These officials are Rauful Hassan, Danesh Rana, Manish Kumar Sinha, Mubarik Hassan Ganie, JP Singh, Mukesh Singh and Sunil Kumar.
The name of these officers figures in a list of 101 officers recently released by Union Home Ministry for similar empanelment of IPS officers throughout the country.
Besides Rauful Hassan, who is a1994 batch J&K IPS officer, all six others belong to 1996 batch.
The decision to empanel these officers in DIG rank was taken at a recent meeting of the Central Police Establishment Board or CPEB.
