JAMMU, Apr 28: The pair of Dr Brij Baloria and Dr Rakesh Vaid today clinched the men's doubles table tennis title on the concluding day of the three-day Officers and Teachers Sports Meet of University of Jammu held at Gymnasium Hall, here. In the final, played today, Dr Baloria and Dr Vaid trounced the duo of Prof PVKS Bawa and Dr Susheel Sharma in straight sets 11-3, 11-7, 11-7 in best of five game. Meanwhile, the men's badminton title went to Assistant Registrar, Vivek Slathia, who beat Vikram Singh 21-19 in a close contest.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, Vivek defeated Mandeep Singh 21-17 while Vikram outplayed Akash Bhola (AEE) 21-16.
Later, in carrom final, Akash Bhola emerged winner beating Vivek Slathia.
Organised by the PTI Campus under the banner of Campus Sports Committee, today's competitions were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Chander Sharma, Payal.
