| Peerzada Hails BGSBU as one of the best University of the state | | |
Rajouri: Minister for Science and Technology, Information Technology , Haj and Auqaf and Higher Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today said that the Department of Computer Sciences of Baba Ghulam hah Badshah University, Rajouri is better than the departments of any other University in the state.
This was expressed by Sayeed during his maiden visit to the University. Sayeed said that its a pleasant surprise that BGSBU has achieved in less than two years which has not been accomplished by many other Universities in the country. He applauded the Vice Chancellor Masud Choudhary for creating such a huge infrastructure in the mountainous terrain of Rajouri and for providing quality education to the students. He added that the Science and technology is going to play a major role in the development of the state and his ministry would provide full support to the University in this matter. He added that the University is going to revolutionize the Poonch and Rajouri region in the coming future. He also proposed to extend the support of the Ministry in the spread of basic and higher education in this region He further added his Ministry would provide full support in the installation of solar lights and in construction of more hostels in the University.
Vice Chancellor Masud Choudhary thanked Sayeed for visiting the University and apprised him about the various works going on the University. He further sought total support of the Minister and his patronage for further improvement and development of the University,
Earlier Sayeed visited the Biosdiversity park and Centre for Biodiversity Studies and appreciated the effort of the University for conserving nature. He also visited the newly contributed Scholars Home and Faculties residential blocks and later paid visit to the class rooms, laboratories of the University. He also interacted with teachers and students of the University.
Vice Chairman Pahari Development Board Shabbir Khan, MLC Ashok Sharma and other important leaders of the Congress accompanied the Minister.
